If you ever come across and instance of CoolWebSearch, perhaps the most difficult of all spyware programs to uninstall, head over to http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/cwschronicles.html and pick up CWShredder. I havn’t had an oppertunity to test it out because I never use Internet Exploder as a web browser, but apparently it is the best tool for the job.
Anti-Spyware Test
Linked off of Slashdot…Eric Howes published a study he did regarding spyware and anti-spyware tools. What I found amazing was that Grokster installs 25 are programs and even installs some if a user clicks cancel to the Grokster installation.
