Goodbye Fair DVD Player
by Marshall on January 11, 2005
Sammy was a good DVD player. He loved to play with any DVD disc one could throw at him for almost 7 years. After 2 bouts with Misaligned Laser Syndrome, Sammy finally passed into the electronic netherworld to join the many countless vcrs, tvs, and CD players which were used to entertain the masses for so long. Sammy leaves behind his digital optical cable and receiver for which he was joined for so many years. His family and friends, when asked to comment on Sammy’s bouts with MLS, stated that he had good days and bad days. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, the last DVD to be played in Sammy had this to say: “Some days he would work perfectly, but then were others where he had problems switching layers or even reading a DVD altogether.” Sammy’s father, Samsung, stated that “Sammy had a great life and far exceded our lifespan expectancies. Perhaps his passing was a good thing for him, his owner, and all involved.”
