So I installed enlightenment 0.17 today just for kicks. It seems rock solid for pre alpha code. I was going to post a screenshot, but these videos are way cooler.

XmlHttpRequest: Powering Google’s Apps

Adaptive Path has a nice article about how the XmlHttpRequest (which they dub Ajax, shorthand for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) works in conjunction with GMail and Google Maps.
