I arrived at John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana at around 10:30 Pacific time and spent the next 5 hours driving a total of 60 miles. The Hyatt wouldn’t let me check in until 3 PM so I drove around in my Toyota Avalon with all the windows down and the sun roof open. Drove past Huntington Beach and visited the Newport Beach area briefly. Temps are right around 80 with not a cloud in the sky and a nice breeze off the ocean. Once I finally got my hotel room, I had to take a nap. I had been up since basically 1PM local time and had around 2 hours of sleep the previous night.
The Hyatt is nice except that they make you pay for internet access and there is no Wi-Fi. Pics to come later…
