Holy crap does Stellarium look cool! It looks like Google Earth for the great abyss we call Space. The best part is that it is open source and cross-platform!
Also on the open-source front is htop, a suped-up ncurses version of top.
I switched web hosts recently (if you have noticed the site being down) to 1and1.com. They offer Linux hosting with 5GB space, 10 MySql databases (like I need more then one), 500 email addresses, ability to host multiple domains, and a bunch more. Most enticing to me was Python support. I can now put up my own Planet site, with the aide of WebCron to fetch updates hourly.
